The Pledge: ReCYCLE

WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

Recycling. It’s a no brainer.

Unless you’re an absolute eco-hero minimalist champion, after all your efforts to reduce, reuse and refuse you will inevitably be left with some waste.

As a nation, we’re becoming more aware that when we throw our waste away, it doesn’t magically disappear. We know it’s important to keep materials in the loop… but are you recycling the right items into the right place? Putting the wrong items in the recycling bin can spoil whole batches of waste items that would otherwise be perfect for recycling.

Your actions really do matter. If we all get into the habit of recycling as much of our waste as possible, it will add up and together we will make a positive difference.

Make the pledge to recycle – and we'll send you tips to help you along the way.

You’ll hit Global Goals too

In 2015, world leaders made a list of 17 Sustainable Development Goals for a better world by 2030. By joining #SmallActionBigImpact you’re contributing towards making these goals a reality.

When you pledge to fight food waste, you’re contributing to these goals:

12.3 By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses.

12.8 By 2030, ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature.

13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning.
